Ballet Caravan and American Ballet Caravan

This section includes images of Lew and Harold Christensen in performances with Lincoln Kirstein and George Balanchine's Ballet Caravan. The company was succeeded by American Ballet Caravan, which disbanded in 1941 when Kirstein went to serve in World War II. This includes works choreographed by Lew Christensen during his tenure as Ballet Master and works he performed in as the company premier danseur.
